The HUD website is quite extensive. If you are working
with an individual / mortgage company / mortgage broker / or
lender, and they are recommending an FHA loan program, they must
be an approved company with the Department of Housing and Urban
Development in order to originate that loan. HUD provides
an online search tool to aid you in making that determination.
